It seems like everywhere you turn these days you see new products that say ‘zero calorie’ or ‘sugar free’ and you think to yourself, “wow, this must be my lucky day, that thing MUST be healthy. Since it has zero calories I can eat it all day long no problem right?”
Well…not exactly. Or should I say…not so fast my friend!
It seems like every day someone either emails me or sends me a tweet saying that they are doing everything they are “supposed” to be doing, but still can’t get to get the scale to budge one pound in the right direction. Trust me, I know how frustrating this can be! Losing weight is hard enough as it is, and to change your eating habits and still see no results, that’s even more frustrating.
Makes you just want to give up and go eat some cake right? Mmm cake…ok sorry got sidetracked for a second there… 😉
So why do these people not lose weight?
If I had to pick the most common reason why most people’s efforts have proved no results, I would say it is the deception about artificial sweeteners and processed diet foods.
